** A PODCAST FOR FILM LOVERS (and those that buy toilet roll in moderation) **
Hello & welcome to episode 83 of Sorry! You're In My Seat, a weekly podcast which unites three best friends on a quest to find the greatest movies of all time!.... and hand sanitizer, apparently.
In this weeks show our heroes are joined by special guest Gemma Zehar to discuss the brilliant work from writer/director Denis Villeneuve!
Discussions include Sicario, Prisoners, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 and Enemy. It's a 2 hour Denis-Fest.
So who's Denis? Denis Villeneuve is an exciting, unique, and masterful film maker known for his use sound in film, his framing and camera work, his nonlinear storytelling, and use of colour to contrast feeling and mood. Making his name in short film and French-English titles, his breakthrough into worldwide cinema came in 2013 with movies Enemy and Prisoners - now, Denis Villeneuve is one of the most exciting film makers currently working as the world awaits the forthcoming Dune remake.
So this weeks show: Listen as James and Gemma 'flirt argue' over Blade Runner, Aaron praises Arrival (again) and Prisoners (again), and Sam tries to make sense of bizarre & surreal Enemy. Seriously, what the hell is with them Spiders???
There's also a quiz about virus's in film, a listeners Top Ten and a round up of movie news.
All this and much, much more in this weeks episode :)
